Most famous for his humorous musical radio program The Horne Section, Horne also contributed to the BBC Two television program Never Mind The Buzzcocks and wrote and performed several pieces for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

In late 2012, his famous Horne Section comedy band performed a musical number that poked fun at comedian Josh Widdicombe.

Horne was educated at Lancing College (Fields House, 1991–1996) and at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, where he studied classics, graduating in 2001. While at Cambridge he was a member of the Footlights.
